TN Marketing chooses Simplestream

UK: TN Marketing, the global video streaming service focused on creating communities by engaging people with their passions, has chosen Simplestream as a technology partner to expand its widely successful offering to mobile and tablet devices for Craftsy along with its other brands. The service features online courses and various other forms of video content focusing on crafts, hobbies, and lifestyle topics.

The project is built on Simplestream’s proprietary, award-winning App Platform, a powerful framework for seamless delivery of premium content. Leveraging a comprehensive set of out-of-the-box functionalities for on demand consumption, Craftsy delivers over 1,500 premium, online classes, now accessing the OTT space across desktop, Roku, FireTV, and now iOS, and Android devices.

Simplestream has rolled out new functionalities to bring transactional video-on-demand (TVOD) purchasing to the applications via in-app purchase workflows, and to make the checkout experience frictionless. The solution is fully integrated with Crafty’s own authentication platform, making the experience consistent across any device chosen by end-users. Entire classes can be purchased directly from the apps with a single tap, then played back on any supported device, including desktop. The launch opens both additional user experience opportunities, and new revenue opportunities for TN Marketing, including the expansion to previously untapped markets across the globe.
