Cartoni’s new debuts at IBC2026

Cartoni brings a new generation of professional camera support systems
to IBC Amsterdam...
ITA: Cartoni will arrive at IBC Amsterdam, Stand 12.F31, with a broad lineup of new camera support solutions aimed at broadcast, sports, digital film creation, studio and virtual production.
Taking centre stage will be the world debuts of the Lambda 15 and HyperRoll, while the encoded E-Jibo, Master 30 OB, MIXO 21, Lifto HP Standard and Twin, and Ragno Pod will all make their European debut.
Lambda 15: nodal precision and creative freedom
The new Lambda 15 brings Cartoni's famed nodal-head technology into a lighter, more compact platform designed for camera packages up to 15 kg (33 lb). Adjustment cranks on both axes provide precise nodal positioning and fine-tuning, while a side-loading quick-release sliding plate makes camera mounting fast and secure.
Movement is controlled by two patented Cartoni high-precision fluid modules offering three progressively increasing drag settings, plus a zero position for completely free movement.
The Lambda 15 is also encoder-ready, with an upgrade that can be retrofitted for motion tracking and virtual production workflows or digital film. Its ability to operate underslung opens up additional possibilities for vertical, low-angle and unconventional camera moves. A Mitchell flat base is supplied as standard for use on tripods, dollies, cranes and jibs, with an optional 150 mm bowl available for added mounting flexibility.
HyperRoll: 10 shooting modes in a single system
Also making its world debut is HyperRoll, a patented compact rolling platform that combines 10 shooting modes in a single system. Designed to deliver smooth, controlled camera movement without the complexity of a conventional dolly or slider setup, HyperRoll can accommodate everything from smartphones and compact RED, Sony and Blackmagic cameras to fully built ARRI 35 and ARRI 65 rigs.
Manufactured from aerospace-grade alloys, its modular control system can be configured with one, two or three handles, or with a telescopic extension. The different configurations allow operators to move quickly between ultra-low tracking shots, roll-over moves across and above objects, and other perspectives that would normally require considerably more rigging.
E-Jibo: precision tracking for virtual production
Virtual production is another major focus for Cartoni at IBC. The encoded E-Jibo integrates high-precision 22-bit encoders to continuously measure boom and pan movements, providing approximately 4.1 million counts per revolution. This level of angular resolution allows physical camera movement to be accurately matched with virtual sets, augmented graphics and real-time rendered environments.
Despite its compact format and rapid deployment, the E-Jibo supports camera packages up to 20 kg
(44.1 lb). It can be configured with tracking PTZ cameras or Cartoni encoded camera-support systems
using dedicated mounting brackets or used on a dolly.
At IBC, the E-Jibo configuration will feature Sony's ILME-FR7, the Cinema Line full-frame interchangeable-lens camera with integrated PTZ functionality. Combining remote pan, tilt and zoom operation with Sony's E-mount and a wide choice of full-frame FE lenses, the FR7 demonstrates how a cinematic PTZ camera can become part of a flexible, accurately tracked production system.
Positional data from the E-Jibo can be collected and transmitted through the Cartoni VR Box 2.0 or Miraxyz RigFX, providing integration with a wide range of virtual production engines and tracking environments.
New solutions for sport, broadcast and studio
For sports and outside broadcast applications, the Master 30 OB combines a large V-shaped wedge plate with ±90° tilt, continuous fluid drag and counterbalance, ergonomic controls and digital readouts,
providing the control required for demanding long-lens and live-production work.
The Mixo 21, meanwhile, is designed to cover an unusually broad range of payloads, from balanced smartphones through to fully equipped ENG cameras weighing up to 21 kg. It combines continuous counterbalance with a seven-step fluid drag system.
Cartoni will also showcase its universal Control Unit for the Lifto HP Standard and Twin motorised elevation systems, together with the portable Ragno Pod, which raises the camera position by
more than 63 cm, providing a clear shooting line above crowds, barriers and other obstacles.
