Black Box Announces IN-SESSION

UTRECHT, NED: Black Box, a world leading technology solutions provider of high-performance KVM, professional A/V signal distribution and extension and switching solutions, announced the IN-SESSION™ Meeting Room Booking System recently at ISE 2017. Developed to improve the room scheduling process, increase productivity and maximise space availability, the multi-lingual system enables users to instantly reserve, extend, end or cancel meeting rooms via a user-friendly interface.
Users can manage room scheduling with IN-SESSION™ via a touch panel display mounted outside the conference room.
IN-SESSION™ works with Outlook, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Exchange Server as well as G-Suite (Google Apps for Work.) The interface displays the current meeting, meeting details and a room calendar. Red and green LEDs on the sides of the touch panel indicate whether the room is occupied and can be seen from a distance, such as from down the hallway. Additionally, the system supports meeting confirmation to eliminate unused reserved rooms as well as the functionality to make requests for room catering, cleaning and technical support. IN-SESSION™ integrates with ControlBridge™ for seamless room automation.
The room scheduler is suitable for small offices as well as large corporations. It’s scalable, enabling the use of dozens of touch panels, which can be interconnected via an Ethernet network. IN-SESSION™ is designed for lecture halls, auditoriums, conference and boardrooms, classrooms and other meeting places.
“Black Box created this system to help organizations make the most of their meeting spaces,” said Erik Indresovde, AV Product Manager for Black Box. “This system is a logical complement to our suite of conference room solutions which include room control, monitoring, presentation switchers, video walls, and collaboration systems.”
Installation of IN-SESSION™ is easy, as it requires no programming. It mounts either directly on the wall or in the wall and is PoE powered. Users can choose models with either a 7" or 12" screen.
