BBright: HEVC In A 4K Ultra HD Integrated Workflow

FRA / USA: BBright has introduced UHD solutions for contribution, ingest, playout and delivery around a HEVC-based video workflow to help broadcast and media industries to deploy Ultra HD services.

BBright is expanding its technology leading software-based video processing on broadcast grade appliances to be used 24 / 7 by network operators, broadcasters, premium TV channels and telco's. These new products all accept HEVC as the central file or input/output TS format for a simplified and more uniform UHD workflow in the video head-end.

The new UHD-Decode is the latest generation of high bit rate (up to 120 Mbps) 4:2:2 10-bit HEVC contribution decoder with dual redundant TSoIP inputs and quad 3G-SDI outputs.

Also unveiled at NAB will be the HEVC-TSI is a high bit rate TS ingest station meant to record live contribution or distribution HEVC transport stream. Recording can be split in chunks, if necessary (for further QC check) and stored locally or on a central storage.

Once recorded these HEVC files can also directly feed, as main playout pivot format, the UHD-24/7 baseband playout with event scheduler and fully integrated playout automation.

HEVC compressed file playout for direct delivery to various video networks can also be achieved using the UHD-TS, single or multichannel, streamer.
